Dentures

Dentures are a convenient way to replace a missing tooth or teeth. There are several types of denture including:

  • An immediate denture is inserted on the same day that the remaining teeth are removed. Dr. Fan will take measurements and make models of your jaw during a preliminary visit. You don’t have to be without teeth during the healing period! This denture may need to be relined or rebased after your jaw has healed.
  • Conventional dentures fit directly over the gums. This denture is made and placed in your mouth after the remaining teeth are removed and tissues have healed, which may take several months.
  • Implant-supported denture attaches to several metal posts that have been implanted into your jawbone.

All type of dentures needs to be removed and clean each night and then put back into your mouth the following day.

What are the benefits of dentures?

Although it takes some time to get used to your dentures, they will allow you to eat more comfortably, speak clearer, and improve your appearance!

Invisalign

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign's® invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners will give you the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted. And, best of all, no one can tell that you're wearing them. Invisalign® is great for adults and teenagers.  Invisalign® is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without traditional braces. Invisalign® uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. Invisalign® has been proven effective in clinical research and in orthodontic practices nationwide.

How Does Invisalign® Work?

You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the their final position. You'll visit us about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9 - 15 months and the average number of aligners during treatment is between 18 - 30, but both will vary from case to case.

How Are Aligners Made?

You'd Be Amazed... The aligners are made through a combination of our expertise and 3-D computer imaging technology.

Veneers

A veneer is natural looking, custom-made layer that fits over your teeth to help create your beautiful smile and protect your teeth from damage. Veneers have a longer life expectancy and color stability than composite, and they highly resistant to permanent staining from coffee, tea, or even cigarette smoking. Typically, veneer treatment takes at least three appointments: diagnosis and treatment planning, preparation, and bonding.

Do I need veneers?

A healthy smile can not only make you more attractive, but it will also boost your self confidence. There are many reasons why people get veneers, and some of the most common are:

  • Cover up teeth stains and discoloration
  • Cover gaps between the front teeth
  • Change the length, color, and size of teeth
  • Fix chipped, cracked, or broken teeth from injuries
  • Fix worn down teeth from teeth grinding

Whitening

Teeth whitening, or teeth bleaching, is the process of lightening the color of your teeth. Many people today are choosing tooth-whitening procedures to reverse the effects of aging and discoloration from food and tobacco stains. Professional whitening performed by our office is considered as an effective and safe method. Over-the-counter whitening are somewhat effective as long as they are monitored, and directions followed closely. Some "whitening toothpastes" can be effective at removing stains and make teeth a few shades brighter. However, many of these products have abrasive substances that can wear away your tooth's enamel.
